The hard rubber brayer snapped in and rolled great, but it took awhile for the soft brayer to actually roll the paint. It was just sliding the paint around on the inking plate. It seemed to get better the more I used it though. My advice is that you should roll this without ink on paper first to get them fittings loosened up before you're in the middle of inking your printing plate.
