Like the Pre-Set handle, the Pre-Set-Cut-Away Handle provides one more level of control for the user.  In addition to setting the "stop" point for the needle, the cut-away allows the user to instantly adjust needle "tension" without having to dismantle the airbrush.  Designed for Precision Aire airbrushes only.
